Three-year-old Sam is from Cork and was born with a brain abnormality called PVL. This means he will have difficulty in all aspects of development and in addition to this he also suffers life-threatening seizures. Sam’s heroes are the paediatric emergency teams who, on a daily basis, are responsible for saving the lives of countless children.
In gratitude for the care Sam receives from specialist paediatric services at Cork University Hospital and Temple Street his family are embarking on a 31 day challenge throughout the month of December. Sam’s mum Aoife will run 5k a day, Sam’s Uncle Paul and Aunty Donna will swim in the sea every day in December, Sam’s other uncle Aidan has committed to the completion of 100 push ups a day and Sam’s sister Emily (8) will cycle 70km throughout December (on weekends and on the school holidays!!)
Good luck and thank you so much for this amazing support
