The Rathcormac Mud Challenge welcomes participants of all fitness levels looking for a bit of an adventure! The event takes place on September 10th with part of the proceeds going to the Children's Unit here in Cork University Hospital, Scoil Bride NS Rathcormac and Bishop O'Brien NS Bartlemy. Cork University Hospital officially launch Wheel4Life 2016 with Bishopstown GAA 11th July 2016: CUH Charity today launched the second Wheel4Life Charity Cycle with the help of Munster Rugby Captain, Peter O’Mahony and Senior Hurler, Shane O’Neill. Funds raised from the 2016 cycle will support the expansion and refurbishment of the Chemotherapy Day Unit in Cork University Hospital, by increasing the number of treatment bays in the Unit. Supported by Bishopstown GAA, the cycle will take place on Sunday 28th August at the Bishopstown GAA Club.
The Paediatric Unit in CUH is organising a fantastic ‘Strictly CUH’ fundraising dance extravaganza, which promises to be a magical night of dancing, music and plenty of entertainment along the way! Staff representatives across all departments of the hospital will dance on the night and will be volunteering their time rehearsing and perfecting their routines in the weeks running up to making their debut appearance on the stage of Cork Opera House!
Michael Healy-Rae officially launched the Julie O’Neill Annual Ring of Kerry Golf Classic Fundraiser, sponsored by Menarini, today at the Ring of Kerry Golf Club, Kenmare. The event will take place from 24th to 26th June at the Club to raise essential funds for the Respiratory & Cystic Fibrosis Units at Cork University Hospital.
To celebrate International Clinical Trials Day, the HRB – Clinical Research Facility – Cork (CRF-C) will host an information stand for the general public in the Cardiac Renal Tower of the Cork University Hospital from 11am to 3pm on 20th May 2016.
