Apple
Apple began supporting CUH Charity during the Coronavirus Crisis. They generously reached out to offer their support by donating iPads to the charity. In total, Apple donated over 30 iPads for two purposes:
1. Support the deployment of a Triage App which Apple developed based on a design concept from Dr Desmond Murphy, Consultant Respiratory Physician and Clinical Lecturer.
2. To enable communications between patients and their families and clinicians and families when visitors were not allowed in the hospital.
The team have also undertaken a number of fundraising initiatives that have supported huge fundraising campaigns like the Neonatal Sanctum Appeal.
Penneys Wilton
Penneys Wilton has been hugely supportive on CUH & CUMH – from donations of treats at Christmas to taking part in a Marathon a Week in May 2021 to Cycling from Mizen to Malin in 2021.
Their generosity knows no bounds.
Dell
With the support of Dell employee’s, we were able to set up a new Covid 19 operational hub area equipped with digital screens. This supported the collection and dissemination of operational information across all areas of the hospital. It became a significant resource to staff in managing regular inpatient activity together with the cohort of patients diagnosed with Covid-19.
J Coffey Construction Ltd.
In March 2021, J Coffey Construction created the biggest virtual hug we’ve ever seen! and raised an incredible €10,000 in the process.
While observing social distancing rules, they created this incredible virtual hug and got a great shot using a drone!
All funds raised will go to the Neonatal Sanctum Appeal.
