MEET THE TEAM – Claire Concannon, Head of Development and Marketing
What is your favourite part about your job?
I’m in an extremely privileged position to see first hand the impact CUH Charity donors make on our frontline workers, patients and broader community connected to CUH & CUMH. It’s an honour to get to work with such dedicated and committed people every day.
What is your favourite thing to do, when you’re not working?
Spending time with friends and family. Getting out into nature with Lily, our Springer Spaniel. Playing the ukulele (badly!).
What did you wish to become when you grew up?
A vet – that went away very quickly when I fainted in Biology!
If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life what would it be?
Lasagne…
What useless superpower do you possess?
I have an incredibly sensitive sense of smell – a blessing and a curse…
What is the best place you’ve ever visited?
I did spend a week in the Arctic – ‘Best’ may be a stretch, but a most interesting week of my life for sure!
What is one thing you wish people knew about your job/ the hospital/ health care?
That YOU make the difference. It’s not me in my work that leads CUH Charity to ‘Saving and Changing Lives’ – my work means nothing without YOU. People who support CUH Charity are like my extended team and I just want to thank you for being there.
