The Department of Renal Medicine has created an educational video, highlighting the importance of Phosphate Control In Chronic Kidney Disease.

Having previously created an animated patient education video on Salt and Chronic Kidney Disease, aimed at preventing the progression of CKD at an early stage of renal dysfunction, we now hope this second video will help our renal patients understand why a low phosphate diet is recommended and how best to follow it.

This patient-friendly and easy to understand format will be complemented by a new information leaflet but will particularly help those with literacy/language difficulties.

This video was created using funds raised for CUH Charity as well as support from the Irish Kidney Association, HSE & INDI (Irish Nutrition and Dietetic Institute)
