CUH Charity in association with Music In Community and CIT Cork School of Music’s Opera Platform Present a  Fundraising Concert  titled ‘Treasures of the Opera’, at the CUH Main Auditorium on Thursday June 2nd at 7pm.  Just days before their performance at the Lismore Opera Festival, Corks’ finest Young Operatic Singers, members of the CIT Cork School Of Music’s ‘Opera Platform’ group under Director Mary MacSweeney will hold a concert at the CUH Main Auditorium. We are delighted to have Ireland’s leading Soprano Cara O’Sullivan joining as a special guest. The programme will include Arias and Duets from Composers such as Mozart, Dvorak, Mascagni and Humperdinck.

This concert is in aid of the CUH Patients’ Arts Programme, continuing the drive to raise funds for the purchase of a piano for the hospital to allow regular performances for patients, visitors and staff. The Arts Programme provides quality arts projects and events such as exhibitions, music performances, artists in residence projects, poetry, percent for arts environmental design, and also includes CUH’s vast art collection. CUH liaises with healthcare staff and local and national organisations, local and national arts centres, local authorities and the Arts Council to provide engaging arts experiences to enhance creative wellbeing for patients, staff and visitors.
