2020 has been an exceptional year, so the team in CUH Charity is taking a moment to be thankful.

Thank you to all the doctors, nurses, porters, caterers, maintenance and every member of staff who turned up every day to ensure the best care was available for over one million people served by Cork University Hospital and Cork University Maternity Hospital. They provided care and support to patients and families across all 40 departments and welcomed over 8,000 babies, all while dealing with a global pandemic and keeping everyone safe.

Thank you to every company who supported CUH and CUMH throughout the year – be it with funding, equipment or expertise. Your support means the world to our staff, patients and community.

Thank you to all the schools who went out of their way to help, even while they had their own huge challenges to face. Your selflessness has not gone unnoticed.

Thank you to all our supporters in Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary, Waterford, Clare and beyond. You made donations, created socially distanced events and never failed to amaze us with your new and creative ways to continue your support of CUH Charity – allowing us to invest in life-saving and life-changing equipment in a year where funding was tight.

And to you, reading this, THANK YOU.

By keeping your distance, wearing your mask and supporting each other safely, you ensured CUH & CUMH were able to cope during an extremely arduous year with unprecedented challenges.

We believe 2021 will be a better year. We are committed to providing you with the hospital you and your family deserve.

With you, by our side, we will begin building a new Children’s Hospital in 2021 – a new and important venture for all the children of Munster.
